Upper Dublin Township Parks & Recreation is seeking an Environmental Resource Intern to assist the Parks Division, specifically the Township’s Natural Resources Manager, in establishing and managing natural areas within the Township’s Park system.
Candidates should be current students or recent grads of an accredited institution of higher education with a major in environmental science or a related field. Regular tasks will include the removal of invasive plant species, planting and maintenance/monitoring of plantings, assisting with volunteer events, and assisting in general park maintenance. The use of hand tools, landscaping equipment, and herbicide applicator tools (under supervision) will be required. Candidates must be accustomed to spending up to 8 hours outside, have the ability to endure different weather conditions, the ability to access remote areas, and possess a positive attitude with an ambition to expand their knowledge and skills in the environmental/resource management field.
Wages: $500 to $600 per week @ $18.00 per hour
May to August | 7:30am-3:30pm
